Fiat Chrysler (FCA) is now paying millions to Tesla for the right to sell its cars in Europe un Tesla’s marketing plans.

The truth is, this is not a marketing decision, as much as it is a sneaky way to get around the European Unions strick laws on automobile emissions if Fiat Chrysler can fall together with Telsa,(whose cars do not produce emissions), then the FCA’s per car emissions enough that they can avoid fines in the long run.

The FCA has been reported to be doing all this so they can sell cars in Europe and meet the EU’s limit of C02 emissions to 94 grams per kilometer. Before getting together with Tesla, the FCA’s average was at 123 grams.

The fact that the FCA is allowed to do this exposes a loophole in the EU regulations. The fact that two unrelated car companies can be presented as one is a large scheme in itself. Though Tesla may be the best company to try this with as Tesla has been using its zero-emission vehicles as a source of revenue, the company made #103.4 million by selling it was zero-emissions credit last year.
