You hear a lot of different opinions on the keto diet. Well, I have been trying to lose weight for a very long time and tried many types of diets so why not give this a try? The idea is for you to get more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. You cut back most on the carbs that are easy to digest like sugar, soda, pastries, and white bread. The keto diet relies on ketone bodies, a type of fuel that the liver produces from stored fat. So this is a very safe and natural diet.

I stopped eating grains, unhealthy fats, sugary foods and stopped drinking alcohol. I started to eat more fatty fish, healthy oils, eggs and nuts and seeds. In a matter of two weeks, I lost 6 pounds. It wasn’t too difficult since I still got to eat good food. Cutting carbs was definitely the most difficult to cut since I love rice and pasta but after the first week without it got a lot easier. Now I finished a full month and a half and lost over 10 pounds. If you’re trying to lose some pounds I recommend the keto diet!
