MSC Cruises is a cruise line with mixed impressions.  Although they have a 30-year track record to prove their reliability, our reviewers were a bit dissatisfied with the value for the price.  MSC Cruises is a great choice for your next cruise, but if you are interested in other more affordable options check out reviews for the top rated discount vacation booking site

I have to say, I spent my 20th anniversary on an MSC Cruise ship and wish I didn't. The staff was nothing but unaccommodating, if they could get away with not helping you knew they were outta there like a bat out of hell. Aside from this issue my husband and I had a great time, we made the most of it. I just want people to know the cruise itself wasn't horrible just the staff.

MSC Cruises is a Swiss-based cruise line that sails to multiple destinations such as the Mediterranean, South America, Europe, and the Caribbean. MSC Cruise ships have been noted for their stylish design and interior. The cruise ships have been praised for their itineraries, ship activities, and 24-hour room service.

Entertainment: MSC cruise ships have theaters that host live performances, pilates and aerobics classes, spas, as well as dance lessons. You can also join in on poolside games, sports tournaments, trivia, and more.

Family Friendly: If you have a family and worried the children won’t be entertained, don’t fret, as MSC Cruises was voted one of the top cruise lines for family. Activities include live shows, contests, and parties. Most of the cruise ships have a pool, and some also have a water slide. There are also a number of activities and clubs on MSC Cruise created separately for kids depending on their age groups (kids, preteens, and teens). MSC Cruises also provides babysitting for children aged 1 to 3.

MSC Cruises VS BookVIP.com

Our users selected BookVIP as their favorite travel package website. BookVIP beat out MSC Cruises in almost every category. The biggest complaint our reviewers had about MSC Cruises was their customer service. But despite the horrible customer service, MSC Cruises did score high on the value chart for their discounted cruises. So if you don’t mind lousy staff and want to book a fun trip for a discounted price you should check out MSC Cruises.

MSC Cruises has a long and illustrious history in the vacation package industry.  With over 30 years in the industry, MSC Cruises offers some excellent vacation packages to exotic destinations including the Carribean and more.  For a limited time, MSC Cruises is offering special discounted offers on 7-day vacation packages to the Carribean.  You can book now at their website.

I went on the Caribbean cruise package with my wife and i have to say I was very pleased. The accommodation was beautiful, I loved the complimentary dining. I loved that it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to have a good time. We took an excursion out through Old San Juan, and I felt like I was 18 again. The streets were beautiful. And then we took another excursion to Athol Island and I went snorkeling for the first time. I couldn't believe how clear the water was.

The Down Side

Although MSC Cruises scored high for its cost-effective pricing, they scored low for customer service. With users complaining of service from the staff with one user stating, “None of them must care for their jobs.”

MSC Cruises also scored low for the fact that there were no excursions available for free. Every off-boat excursion is paid for separately. Aside from these two issues, most of our reviewers stated they enjoyed their time on the boat.

Even though they are meant to be relaxing, it can sometimes actually be very stressful to plan a vacation, especially when you are going somewhere you have never been that may not even speak the same language as you.

Vacation packages can send you out to all kinds of places.  Some might deck you out in the most luxurious acomodations available with fully inclusive vacation packages while others might be total rip offs with no food included and tons of upcharges along the way.

When selecting a website to book a vacation it is important to check out a few key factors.

Reputation
When booking a trip it is important to use a company that has a reputation of successful trips and excellent customer reviews.  There are many different sites available, and some can be deceptive in the way they market.  By going with a well-trusted and well-reviewed vacation website you can take the risk of uncertainty out of the equation.

Budget
Some websites may offer extravagant and lavish vacations that sound like a dream come true; however the key consideration most people will account for when planning their trip is the total cost.  It is important to do your due diligence and compare packages and rates from different sites to find the best deals on the trips you want.  Be sure to read the fine print to be totally sure that you won’t run into any unexpected expenses.

Customer Service
Traveling can be hectic and problems and emergencies are bound to happen eventually no matter how experienced of a traveler you may be.  In such an event it is important to have a clear line of communication to get assistance.  When choosing a vacation travel plan it is highly recommended that you go for a company that has a reputation of good customer service.

By following these guidelines you can help make sure that your next cruise or vacation plan turns out even more wonderful than you hope.  There are no shortages of travel and booking sites, so to help streamline things we can suggest our #1 rated vacation package booking site.

My cruise with MSC wasn't bad, but it could have been better. The destinations were amazing and we got to see some beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The food and amenities on the ship could have been better, and drinks were really expensive. All in all it was a nice trip, but I think I could have gotten a better deal with another site.

Okay

MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises lost points for customer service but they did score high for value. The truth is you can't beat the price, if you can ignore the lousy staff and the afford the extra excursions, MSC Cruises may be the budget cruise line you were looking for.

Pros

  • Dining included
  • Different kids clubs created for specific age groups
  • Tons of on boat activities

Cons

  • Lousy Customer Service
  • Excursions cost extra
