The consumer-knowledge system

RealReviews keeps opinions, verified events, documents, business responses, public records, and analyst conclusions in distinct lanes. The goal is not a bigger pile of reviews. It is a conclusion whose support can be inspected.

From intake to finding

Follow one claim through the record

Imagine a customer says a repair was “a mess”: the bill was higher than the quote, the return date slipped, and the fix failed again. That account stays the customer’s. A receipt can establish payment, not the failed fix. A dated photo may help with condition. The business reply remains a reply, and a score collected elsewhere remains that platform’s score.

We can correct a date or amount without editing the customer’s verdict. If the person only asked for a quote, used a trial, or contacted support, we record that narrower contact instead of inventing a purchase. Private identity checks can coexist with a public display name. Employment, ownership, gifts, family ties, affiliate interests, and other compensation travel with the contribution.

Now put the records in time order. A marketplace post might cover the first week; a complaint begins at the failure; a six-month update shows whether the remedy held. Support for a claim changes our confidence, never its star direction. When the sources still disagree, readers see the disagreement—and sometimes the only defensible finding is that the record is too thin.

The evidence belongs to the claim it supports. It does not take ownership of the whole story.

The published answer

Say what the record supports—and where it stops

The finding

We lead with the outcomes that recur and matter to the decision, not every anecdote we collected.

The fit

A conclusion should name the use, budget, and conditions it appears to suit. “Best” without a buyer is rarely useful.

The reason to keep comparing

We call out the circumstances that make another provider, product, or arrangement worth a look.

The confidence limit

Old records, missing documents, a small sample, and unresolved disagreement remain attached to the verdict.

The history

A correction, response, new document, or method change can move the conclusion. The prior state does not quietly vanish.

The score is a doorway, not the evidence.

Open the conclusion and you should be able to see the sources, verification state, date range, company response, uncertainty, and commercial disclosure behind it.
