Lendzi Reviews: Rates, Complaints and Legitimacy

We traced the operator and licenses, read the application consent, reconciled direct-funding and marketplace claims, sampled current review bodies, and separated a helpful advisor from the price of the contract that advisor presents.

Our editorial score uses source-backed evidence. Outside stars remain separate.

What our Lendzi reviews analysis found

Lendzi earns 7.1/10. It is a legitimate business-financing platform with strong evidence of responsive advisors, quick handling, and completed fundings. The caution is economic: the platform can fund directly or match an applicant to a partner, while the actual rate, factor rate, fees, repayment schedule, guarantee, and lender identity depend on the offer. Use Lendzi to compare options, not as proof that an offered contract is affordable. Review every offer in annualized dollars before accepting.

The score rewards traceable identity, licensing evidence, wide access, a small BBB complaint count, and unusually consistent advisor praise. Cost clarity is the drag. A marketplace can make shopping easier without making every resulting offer good.

Is Lendzi legit?

Yes. Lendzi is a real financing business operated by DH & RK Investments LLC. Its site identifies a California finance-lender license, BBB records the same license plus NMLS 2329576, and Virginia lists the operator as a sales-based financing provider. BBB also shows accreditation, an A+ business rating, and one complaint in three years. Those signals establish a traceable operator; they do not guarantee approval, a low-cost offer, or that every product is covered by the same license.

The license evidence has boundaries. Lendzi publishes California finance-lender license 60DBO-172395; BBB records that number and NMLS 2329576; Virginia's regulator lists the legal operator as a sales-based financing provider. A borrower should still match the name and license on the final agreement to the state and product being sold.

Is Lendzi a direct lender or a marketplace?

Current Lendzi terms and its application page say both: Lendzi may fund a product directly or match the applicant with partner lenders. It also states that it is a financial-technology company, not a bank. Some third-party reviews still describe it only as a marketplace, so that label is no longer reliable by itself. The binding answer for a specific offer is the financing agreement: identify the legal funding source, product type, license, payment recipient, and servicer before signing.

“Lendzi offer” is not a sufficient legal identity. The agreement should name the funder, recipient of payments, any servicer, the financing form, and the party that can enforce a guarantee or lien.

Network size is also unstable. Current Lendzi application copy says 40-plus partners, while older company and publisher descriptions say more than 60. That difference does not decide quality, but it shows why a dated page should not be treated as a contract.

Outside ratings

Trustpilot4.9/51,4642026-07-30
BBB customer reviews4.9/53802026-07-30

Each platform rating stays attributed to its source. Platform stars are never averaged or rescaled into the RealReviews score.

A business submits one application with its requested amount, operating history, revenue, ownership, and financial documents. Lendzi may underwrite the request itself or route it to partner funding sources, then an advisor presents available offers. The shopper chooses whether to proceed; final approval and terms come from the named funding source. This is commercial financing, not a consumer loan for personal or household use. Receiving options is not approval, and an attractive payment can still conceal a high total cost.

The application terms expressly limit the request to commercial use and warn that some products may require a personal guarantee. Once offers arrive, make a one-page ledger for each: legal funder, amount delivered, total repayment, term, payment frequency, fees, collateral, guarantee, prepayment amount, and consequences of a missed payment.

What rates and fees does Lendzi charge?

There is no single Lendzi rate. Bankrate reported simple-interest offers beginning at 3.49%, factor rates beginning at 1.10, and some short-term products beginning near 29.90% APR; it also warned about high rates and fees. ConsumerAffairs says origination, setup, or annual fees may apply depending on the product. Treat those as snapshots, not quotes. Compare total dollars repaid, annualized APR or estimated APR, origination fees, payment frequency, prepayment rules, personal guarantees, and liens in the actual contract.

  • Interest rate or APR: Total dollars and APR over the actual term
  • Factor rate, such as 1.20: Advance multiplied by factor, then annualize cash flows
  • Daily or weekly payment: Payment count, business-day debits, and cash-flow strain
  • “No prepayment penalty”: Actual early-payoff amount and whether unearned cost disappears

A $50,000 advance at a 1.20 factor means $60,000 in scheduled repayment before other charges. The annualized cost depends on how quickly those payments are collected. Factor-rate products should never be compared to APR loans by looking at 1.20 versus 20 percent as though they were the same unit.

Does Lendzi do a hard credit pull?

Lendzi says its initial application uses a soft credit inquiry and does not affect the applicant's credit score. That promise applies to the initial matching or prequalification stage. ConsumerAffairs notes that a hard inquiry may occur during final approval, and the ultimate funding source controls that step. Before accepting an offer, ask which company will pull credit, whether the inquiry is soft or hard, whose report is checked, and at what exact action the authorization becomes effective.

Preserve the exact consent shown when you apply because funding funnels change. A soft initial pull is useful for shopping, but a later hard pull can matter if several providers run credit. Do not submit parallel full applications until each company explains the inquiry type and timing.

What are Lendzi's business-financing requirements?

Requirements vary by product and funding source. Bankrate's current review lists a broad floor near a 500 personal credit score, six months in business, and at least $50,000 to $120,000 in annual revenue depending on the product; stronger offers often require more. Applicants should expect business bank statements and may need financial statements or tax returns. Lendzi also excludes some industries. A minimum only means an application may be considered—it does not predict approval, amount, price, collateral, or guarantee.

The weakest eligible profile often receives the most expensive product, not the same contract as a mature business with strong credit. Eligibility should therefore be followed immediately by price. Ask the advisor which requirement prevented a cheaper bank, SBA, equipment, or line-of-credit option from appearing.

How fast can Lendzi provide funding?

Lendzi advertises decisions around 24 hours and funding as soon as the same day, but those are best-case timelines. Its current application disclosure limits same-day funding to eligible weekday transactions completed before 10:30 a.m. Eastern; later, weekend, or holiday transactions may take two to three business days. Underwriting questions, documents, product type, bank processing, and the funding source can add time. Never choose a materially more expensive offer solely because the headline says 'same day.'

Speed has value when a delayed inventory order or equipment repair costs more than the financing. It has less value when the need can wait two days for a bank or vendor quote. Put a dollar value on the deadline, then refuse any speed premium larger than that value.

What do Lendzi complaints show?

BBB showed one complaint in the last three years and none closed in the latest twelve months when captured. The visible 2025 complaint alleged changing offer amounts, poor communication, and an expensive proposed rate; Lendzi answered that discrepancies in submitted financial data affected the decision and acknowledged that communication should have been clearer. BBB reviews also include a recent allegation of repeated email contact and a roughly 35% rate. These are individual accounts, not a measured failure rate, but they identify terms and contact frequency to verify.

One complaint is a small public record, not zero risk. The useful lesson is procedural: an early conversation about an amount is not a commitment, underwriting can change an offer, and the applicant should request a written decline or change explanation. Save the marketing-contact consent because a recent BBB reviewer specifically objected to repeated email contact.

What do Lendzi Trustpilot reviews actually prove?

Trustpilot displayed 4.9/5 from 1,464 reviews, with 98% five-star, when captured. Twenty sequential recent bodies were all five-star and repeatedly named advisors, responsiveness, clear explanations, easy processing, and fast funding. That is strong service evidence. It is weaker evidence of long-run affordability because most bodies did not state the annualized cost, total repayment, default experience, lien release, or payoff result. Trustpilot also labels the profile claimed and paid, while noting the recent reviews were unprompted.

BBB customer reviews4.9/5 · 380 reviewsIndependent attributed pool with visible dissent

The strength is real but narrow. Many reviewers name the employee who helped them; relatively few name the legal funder, annualized price, or payoff result. RealReviews therefore gives substantial service credit without turning 4.9 stars into a 9.8/10 financing score.

Does Lendzi share applicant information?

Yes, when needed for matching and as allowed by its terms. Lendzi's application terms permit sharing application information and documents with trusted partners, and allow administrative, marketing, and servicing uses. Its privacy policy also authorizes email, calls, and texts after registration. One Lendzi landing page says that if an applicant does not qualify, information may be shared with trusted third-party affiliates offering alternatives. Read the consent beside the submit button, save it, and use the stated opt-out channels if the contact volume becomes unwanted.

Matching cannot work without sending information to possible funders, but consent should be proportional and visible. Keep the submission confirmation, privacy notice, phone number used, and any opt-out reply. If a downstream company contacts you, ask which submission supplied the lead before sharing more documents.

Does Lendzi offer SBA loans?

Lendzi's current application page lists SBA loans from $50,000 to $5 million, while a recent Bankrate FAQ says none of its partners offer SBA loans. That conflict is exactly why a profile should not repeat category labels as availability facts. Ask Lendzi whether an SBA product is accepting applications today, which SBA-approved lender would originate it, which program is involved, and what timing and guarantee apply. If no named SBA lender appears in writing, treat the option as unavailable for your comparison.

SBA financing usually moves more slowly and requires more documentation than a fast working-capital advance. A vague promise that an SBA path exists is not comparable to a named lender's written estimate. Get the SBA program, lender, expected guaranty fee, collateral position, rate basis, term, and realistic closing timeline.

What are the best Lendzi alternatives?

Choose alternatives by the financing need, not by the affiliate payout. For lower-cost capital, compare a bank, credit union, or SBA-approved lender directly. For marketplace breadth, compare Lendio or another platform only after checking data-sharing and offer terms. For fast short-term funding, compare Fundbox, OnDeck, and direct revenue-based providers using annualized cost and payment frequency. Equipment buyers should request equipment-specific financing, while businesses facing a temporary cash gap should first ask existing banks, vendors, and customers about cheaper timing solutions.

None of these alternatives is currently a paid RealReviews placement. An eventual affiliate approval would change link disclosure, not the evidence order or score.

The offer comparison ledger

Before accepting, write down the cash delivered, every scheduled payment, total repayment, estimated APR, origination or setup fees, payment frequency, personal guarantee, UCC lien, prepayment amount, default triggers, and legal funder. If an advisor will not provide enough information to fill the ledger, the offer is not ready to sign.

Sources and method

  • Lendzi application and funding disclosures — current model, product labels, soft inquiry, and timing.
  • Application terms , terms of use , and privacy policy — commercial-use, guarantee, sharing, contact, and dispute terms.
  • Lendzi licenses and Virginia provider registry — identity and regulatory records.
  • Trustpilot and BBB — attributed ratings, sequential review bodies, and complaint evidence.
  • Bankrate and ConsumerAffairs — independent cost, qualification, and credit-pull comparisons.

Research captured July 30, 2026. Outside ratings are dated observations and are not averaged into the RealReviews score. Product availability and financing terms can change between an article refresh and an individual application.

Lendzi is a credible place to collect business-funding options. The advisor can be excellent while the financing is still expensive; score the contract separately.

Affiliate status

A public CPA partner intake exists, but RealReviews is not approved and all current links are uncompensated.

Final verdict

Lendzi scores 7.1/10 — Strong service evidence; compare the actual funding contract carefully. A legitimate, licensed business-financing platform with strong advisor reviews and broad funding access, held back by offer-specific costs, conflicting public product details, and consequential partner-sharing and marketing consent.
